Bathroom faucet change - no nuts or bolts from supply line?

I was trying to change my bathroom faucet myself. It looked easy enough. But my current faucet has no nuts or bolts to unscrew from the supply lines so I can attach them to the two threaded supply ports on the new faucet. That even prevents me from taking the old faucet off. What do I do? Hacksaw it off, and blowtorch on some female threaded connectors that I'll have to get from the hardware store?

  1. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you really need to call a plumber. Do not try to fix this if you don't know what you're doing!
  2. Is the pipe soldered to the supply valve also? If not, cut the line and remove the faucet. Then unscrew the supply line from the valve and replace with flex supply lines. Mine was "hardpiped" and I had to cut it out and change fittings for threaded supply lines.
  3. Thread7 it could become a real nightmare if you don't know what you are doing. The pipes are sweat ed on,and you will need a torch to remove them. You can get a pip or tube cutter to cut them off. If you use a saw you can get the pipe out of round. Then it will leak if you use screw on fittings. Anyhow you can flair the end of the tubing and slip on a screw on fitting. Good luck and take your time.
