My linen closet is a mess i have a ton of boxes and a lot of loose junk. What should i do to clean it?

1. Put the loose junk in the ton of boxes and carry it out to the trash!
2. throw the junk!
3. toss every thing out but the linens.
4. Goodwill or Salvation army anything that you haven't used in the last 2 years. If you don't use the extra linens...then donate them!
5. First take everything out of the boxes and the closet - now make two piles....the "keep it" and the "throw away" piles.....the "throw away" one stick into one of the boxes and put aside...the "keep it" box sort by size and color........if it towels, sheets, and blankets arrange each separately...take the boxes, the larger boxes that FIT on the shelf of the closet, and mark each box with what it's content is...........the "extra stuff" the "stuff" you haven't used in the past 6 months take to a homeless shelter or goodwill along with the "throw away" box I mentioned in the beginning...it is a start and you may find that your other closets have "stuff" that can be given to the homeless shelter too. :o)
6. throw away all the junk...then clean it and organize it...get an air freshner for it and it should look and smell(which is a plus) clean...
7. make some decisions. if you dont want it, then ask family or friends if they could use it. If not, then take it to goodwill.
8. Iron and fold the linens. Stuff in the boxes could be cleaned out and you could go thru your junk and put it in the trash. If you want to save some things, save only those important ones as if you would have to pay a lot of money just to transport each box. The cost of having to spend on boxes is ridiculous these days and should be an encouragement for you to get rid of that stuff. If I were you I'd save anything that looks like it would some day be an antique; I'd save things my parents gave to me, or a family member or a love. The rest can go to the garbage.
