Can i clean the watermark from my toilet/water-closet that had been there for years?

The mark is coming from the water and soap that dry by itself on the rounding side of my sitting toilet because of years usage. It is very hard to clean up the stain.

  1. Use a lime away product, it's lime build up although it looks like soap.
  2. Drain the water and try something like Lime-away that dissolved hard water deposits. If that doesn't do it , contact a plumber and ask if you can buy a little of whatever they use. (They have access to the stronger stuff.)
  3. Pumice stone will remove the greatest amount, then try a cup of bleach to the bowl water and let stand as long as you can.
  4. use comet and a sponge that's what I use some times.
  5. Pumice stone and other abrasives will scratch the glaze ... although the discoloration may disappear for a little while, it will be harder to remove the next time because it will be deeper. Try cleaning your bowl with a product made for hard water stains; clean your bowl daily to help prevent the mark from coming back.
  6. Make sure the water level is just at or above the crusty stain, then drop two denture tablets into the toilet bowl and leave overnight. It should come off easily in the morning.
