Bathroom Guide

What would make a faucet 'burp' when turned on?

Our bathroom sink and our kitchen sink earlier when I turned the faucet on it sorta "burped" for a second before the water started to come out normally. Could it be because of the cold change in weather, or is it something I have to worry about?

  1. mine did that just once so and not again, i would check later see if it does it or not, if it does, call a plumber :)
  2. Sounds like ur taps have got trapped wind!
  3. not to worry, it's just air in the lines...it probably won't happen again.
  4. sounds like it had some air in the main line maybe from a leak being fixed by utility company . just keep an eye on it and if continues call a plumber.
  5. their is most likely air in your lines should not be a problem.
  6. if it's hot water you may have a bad heating element in the water heater.if cold water you might have a leak or possibly your water main has a leak ,check the street for signs of a water leak, and check your basement.
