How to replace bathroom faucet?

I am in the process of changing my bathroom faucet, unfortunately this is an old no-name brand one and like the newer ones where you have a nut to tighten and hold the faucet in place this one has none, see the picture. 1. I can't really tell, but it looks like it was sweated on? Anyway,I could tell you one thing,it would be easier to take the whole sink off and then put the faucet and supply lines on if possible. If you want ,go to Popular Mechanics .com then go to their plumbing how to. they are pretty informative and have a video. Byee ( don't worry,it's easier then you think,I've done it a hundred times)
  2. its hard to see in the photo but i would say the faucet is actually fastened in from the top . remove the trim and see if the nut is under the trim pieces on the top
  3. I've never seen one quite like that but it appears to be mostly bronze which will submit to a hacksaw pretty easily as a last resort. You don't intend to save it?
