How do you clean Closet Maid wire shelving?

All shelving in my home feels coated with a stickey substance. This was shortly after cleaning with soap and water.

1. Try using WD-40 or goof off. Wipe off well after using. :-)
2. try Windex..or heavily diluted Simple Green.
3. If the shelving is small enough, then you should try running it through the dishwasher with regular detergent.
