Colorful bathroom ideas - Help please.?

I want to redo my front bathroom. It's basically a guest bath/child's bath. Right now, the walls are a very light sage with eggshell trim, cream shower curtain, rug and accessories. I want to change it. I'm not afraid of color (my master bath has navy blue walls, silver accessories and a very tiny touch of yellow). I would like something that will work both as a child's bathroom and the main bath, so no kid's characters. Oh, it is a smallish bathroom as well. White appliances and chrome faucets. I'm having trouble coming up with a color for the walls, plus accessories that with coordinate. Any advice? Thanks.

  1. Blue and yellow? My sister feather dusted gold on a cream colored wall. Bird houses. Fish/blue yellow green Leave everything and add pink to the mix and sea shell print or accessories. Find a new shower curtain as the focal point and redecorate around it.
  2. Aqua walls, snowy white shower curtain, towels and rugs. Black and white pics of seashells or ships on the walls in black frames. Clean. Crisp.
  3. on the wall, you can put some brown metalized floor tile , and taps silverplated... my aunt has the bathroom so andt it's very chic and beauty too!!!
  4. Whatever color you choose for the walls can be accented with a colorful shower curtain, towels of the colors in the shower curtain can be rolled and left in a basket or other container that accents the theme. Leave a colorful towel near the sink for guests and children to use. Flowers are always fun and don't have to be real.
  5. Do maybe a light bright green! That would make it look bigger and nicer. Make it more of an plant room. Maybe with or all shades of green. hhmm Silver and green would so go. Something bright but not to busy. I will look online for some examples.
  6. I live 30 mins from the jersey shore and i am redoing my bathroom a nice, blue, white, yellow seashore theme.shells on the shower curtain, and wallpaper.
  7. Go Wild with Bright Art Deco Mosaic Wallpaper.Flowery Colors such as Red, Blue,Gold,Fuchsia and Silver lines trimmed in fine lines of Black over a White Background.Especially designed for bathrooms. It will brighten up your whole house and you should consider large mirrors that extend outward with nice borders. It is easy to find complimentary accessories such as towels and decorative towel racks once you have that part finished. I have witnessed seeing this in a friends home in her bathroom in Wilmington, NC and was completely blown away and overtaken by it. It really turned out fantastic!!! Sincerely,
  8. One of my favorite color combinations is the sage green and cream that you presently have! So I am reluctant to suggest any changes... If your walls, rugs, and accessories are still in good shape, why not add an accent color to what you already have? I think certain shades of purple (deep, dark) or plum would go nicely with the green and cream. Try some color swatches and see what you think. Some towels, florals, framed prints with plums/purples would set your colors off nicely, and add a bit of drama and pizzazz. Since it is a guest bathroom, I would stay with basic, neutrals and avoid anything too sophisticated and "high maintenance." That way, it would still be appropriate for the children who will be using it. If you are set on changing the colors, why don't you look at some nice toiles (fabrics) for color combinations? For instance, I've seen yellow and blues/ reds and creams. black and whites, blues and whites, etc. Many of the toile fabrics depict animals and children, which would work well for the dual-purpose bath you mentioned.
