Ever change the finish on a bathroom fixture?

Is it possible to spraypaint (or use another method) to inexpensively, yet effectively, change the finish on a bathroom sink faucet? I'm remodeling and already have some really nice faucets in oil rubbed bronze, but the rest of the fixtures and hardware in the bathrooms is satin nickel. I'd like to keep the faucets but prefer the nickel. Any ideas or thoughts?

  2. I actually change the finish to oil rubbed bronze all the time, as it is quite trendy I normally do this with bath hardware, toilet paper roll holders, towel bars, light fixtures, hinges and even ceiling fans but never a faucet but I suppose it could be done, but you would have to remove it first and by that time why bother Look on Ebay, you can get some great deals there for faucets or faucets.com I use espresso spray paint for a base coat and then very lightly mist it with flat black, You can then seal it with polyurethane. I change old brass or chrome stuff and make them look like new expensive fixtures, for virtually nothing
