How To Change Bathroom Faucet Knowledge Base

Bathroom faucet change - no nuts or bolts from supply line? I was trying to change my bathroom faucet myself. It looked easy enough. But my current faucet has no nuts or bolts to unscrew from the supply lines so I can attach them to the two threaded supply ports on the new faucet. That even prevents me from taking the old faucet off. What do I do? Hacksaw it off, and blowtorch on some female threaded connectors that I'll have to get from the hardware store?
can I change a bathroom faucet myself? Does it take any special plumber tools? I am very mechanically inclined but I know that in some plumbing jobs it takes special tools. I want to changing a basic 4" bathroom vanity faucet. Anyone have some pointers out there? Or should I call a plumber?
How do I undo the bathroom faucet, so I can change the washer and stop it from dripping? My faucet looks like this. http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/2789/faucetnm3.jpg It doesnt even have a visible screw to give me a clue, where to start!
changing out bathroom sink faucet? I want to change out my bathroom sink faucet. It has two twist handles 12" apart. When I check out the faucets at homedepot website, all I see are 8" widespread models. Is that going to fit my sink? Is 8" the max? Also, If I get a new one with lever handles instead of twist handles, will it make any difference in installation?
Changing bathroom faucet after tiling project...? I recently had someone tile my shower surround. I am replacing my bathroom faucet and have run into a problem the existing 1/2" pipe coming out of the wall for the spout is too short to accomodate the spout that came with the faucet I purchased by approximately 1/2" or so. Is there any kind of adapter/connector I can purchase that would make up the difference? I went to a hardware store today and I was sold a universal spout, but none of the configurations will work around this problem. The person at the hardware store said I might have to change the old pipe out, but this is the least desirable way to do it, since the tile is already in place and I don't want to risk damaging it.
How do I change the water pressure between my shower head and sink faucet in my bathroom? I recently had a handyman come in and fix the pressure between my shower head and sink faucet in my bathroom. At first, the shower head had little pressure and the sink had a lot. After the fix, the sink has little pressure and the shower has too much pressure. How do I go about re-balancing the pressure and fix this myself?
Changing a bathroom sink faucet? The old faucet on my bathroom sink is a single handled one. Can I change it to a double handled one?
does anyone know if any other brand of bathroom faucet is compatible with price pfister ones? I have a three-handle chrome tub/shower faucet set and want to replace it with a brushed nickel or oil rubbed bronze set that I can not locate in the Price Pfister brand. I found an American Standard and a Delta that I like. I just don't want to have to rip out the whole entire shower to change the faucet hardware. Thanks...
Can anybody tell me how to change the washers in my bathroom faucets? They go very quickly and the plumbers are costing me a fortune. Thanks.
Ever change the finish on a bathroom fixture? Is it possible to spraypaint (or use another method) to inexpensively, yet effectively, change the finish on a bathroom sink faucet? I'm remodeling and already have some really nice faucets in oil rubbed bronze, but the rest of the fixtures and hardware in the bathrooms is satin nickel. I'd like to keep the faucets but prefer the nickel. Any ideas or thoughts?
I changed the O rings in my peerless bathroom faucet, but now the water won't turn off? I changed the seats and springs in the stems of the faucet and I turned the water on and water came out of the faucet and you can't control it with the valves on the faucet. I changed the seats and springs not the O rings. The guy at lowes said that was what needed to be changed.
ok, follow up from last question: My bathroom has a leaking faucet. I turned off the water from the bottom of? the sink. and i still get a small leak coming out. Do you think I should go right ahead and just change the whole faucet unit? the unit was put on the bathroom about 6 yrs ago. please advise and happy holidays.
How to replace bathroom faucet? I am in the process of changing my bathroom faucet, unfortunately this is an old no-name brand one and like the newer ones where you have a nut to tighten and hold the faucet in place this one has none, see the picture. I want to change the bathroom faucets and knob thing etc...how hard is this to do? We just got a new house and the faucets and knob/handles are old and we want to buy new ones and change them out... We have no idea how to though haha. Is it a difficult thing to just change the tub/shower "hardware"? We dont want to do anything to plumbing inside the wall...just change the outside parts to look better.... Any help is appreciated! We also want to change the shower head...but we've done that before... AND we want to change the faucet in the kitchen as well...how hard is it to do that?
How can I stop bubbles to come up from the P-trap in the bathroom sink? I just changed the faucet in the bathroom. For some reason soap bubbles will rise and come out from the area where the p-trap connects with the pipe that comes down from the sink. This did not happen before. This connection is not screwed, the straight pipe just goes into the p-trap and there is a small rubber seal that I think is supposed to keep this from happening. Any ideas? This was my first faucet change and everything else seemed to work fined.
replacing bathroom faucets but not the same size? I went through a lot of trouble changing the piping for the shower knobs in the bathroom . you know how you get the set of knobs, shower head, and faucet. the knobs fit perfectly... we didn't change the shower head since there was nothing wrong with it... but then when putting the faucet back on, it chipped and now has a sharp edge on it. when attempting to replace it with the new one, it doesn't fit. what can i do for it to fit? is there some kind of adaptor? i don't know the sizes of the pipe connection or the piece to the faucet.
Need help with a bathroom faucet? I thought it was the handle, not actually turning the hot water on, but don't think that is the problem. It will turn on, then make a "bump" like a water hammer sound, then the water stops flowing. Could that be the valve "thing" down inside the faucet that needs replaced or cleaned? It's the faucet that we use all of the time. Thankfully, we have a double vanity in the bathroom and just started using the other washbowl, but would like some advice, before my husband starts to fix it. We plan on changing all of the faucet handles on the double vanity. Just wondering what we will find, when we take that one faucet handle off. Thanks.
Can a bathroom sink faucet CARTRIDGE become 'stuck'? I have a bathroom sink upstairs that I see today you can pull the handle to get water, but only a tiny trickle comes out. I had left it in a 'tiny trickle' position for many days. This was due to the potential it might freeze otherwise. I actually don't think it froze because a small stream of water comes out, but when I pull the handle all the way to release full force the stream does not change. Cartridges in faucets in this house are probably 12 years old. Any suggestions what might be causing this? It;s not that cold here (chicago) today either. Just tried the first answer - cleaned out AERATOR - IT WORKED !!!!! thanks so much!!
Can you paint bathroom faucets? If so what kind of paint? I just want to change the color.
How do I loosen a very stubborn nut underneath my sink? Here's the deal: I want to change my bathroom sink faucet. I was able to loosen the cold water nut underneath my sink with a basin wrench. But the hot water nut won't budge. It is like freakin' fused. I applied liquid plumber and WD-40, clamped onto it with a vise grips and tried turning the vise grips with a huge wrench. IT WILL NOT BUDGE!! I'm at my wits end! Any suggestions? Thanks to all who answer.
Removing a faucet should be easy, right??? Okay, I followed some very sage advice given by the YA team on tackling a HI job of changing out a bathroom faucet DIY. The new equipment seems easy enough to work with, however, I cannot get the old pieces out! Regrettably, I cannot attach a diagram that I have that wwould provide a great illustration of the problem that I am having so I'll describe it best I can. There is what appears to be a sleeve on the drain pipe that houses the drain stop. This "sleeve" does not appear to be screwed on and I don't see any mechanicl separation points. I'm afraid if it were tapped on with a hammer, that may be the way for it to come off. That could be very risky to the sink bottom and the ability to tap "downward" from that installed position is nearly impossible. Wife is giving me the look of "No Confidence." I really need to be able to save face on this and complete this task successfully without having to call a plumber. I humbly seek any and all assistance.
Can you just buy faucet handles without buying the faucet? I have a really old faucet in my bathroom that needs replaced, because one of the handles is broken, and is a 6" center set instead of the standard 4", and I can't find anything. So I guess until I get a new sink, all I can do is change the handles. Hopefully I can.
THE MIDDLE FAUCET IN THE BATHROOM SHOWER IS NOT WORKING WHEN YOU TURN IT SO THAT YOU CAN GET THE WATER GOING? THE WATER MAINLY STAYS IN THE THE BOTTOM WHERE YOU USE TO FILL THE TUB .BUT THE SHOWER HEAD GETS VERY LITTLE WATER FLOW ,I HAVE CHANGED THE SHOWER HEAD ,BUT THAT DI DNT WORK
Stripped screws? Anyone know how to get them off? I'm trying to change a washer on a bathroom faucet. Upon flipping off the cap, I found the screw is totally worn down, I cant unscrew it. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove it? I really dont want to pay for a plumber.
What color should we paint the bathroom? We need some suggestions for our ½ bath that serves as the main bathroom on the main floor...we have two other full baths on the 2d floor. Currently the floor is a nice white tile with a light grout, the vanity top and toilet are both burgundy...yes, burgundy, but they are very nice, not cheap. We are installing brushed nickel faucet, towel holder, and vanity light. The walls are currently white, but we’re thinking we’d like to change it. What other color would look good it this bathroom? Thanks!!!!
Is it important to release the excess water in the bath faucet after taking a shower? Thanks!? In my bathroom I have a tub with a lever that allows to change the water flow from bath-flow to shower-flow. When I take shower, I first turn on the bath-flow, then switch the lever to shower-flow. Once I'm done taking a shower, I always turn the lever back into bath-flow, which causes the faucet to release quite a bit of water through the bath-flow. Is it necessary to do this? Thanks.
What would make a faucet 'burp' when turned on? Our bathroom sink and our kitchen sink earlier when I turned the faucet on it sorta "burped" for a second before the water started to come out normally. Could it be because of the cold change in weather, or is it something I have to worry about?
I need help decorating my bathroom in fall/winter colors? My Bathroom (the one room I wish I could change), has a light pink wall tile and off white with a pink hue floor tile. There are seashells on a few of the tile in the shower. I want dark bold colors for the new seasons but can't figure out what will look good. I've had dark gray and blue and am tired of them. Can I use reds or should I stick to black and greens? Shower stall and faucets are gold. Anyone have GOOD suggestions?
I have a piece of paper towel lodged in the copper water line to my bathroom toilet. Will it degrade by itself I changed the pressure regulator in my home water system. While sweating new copper fittings, I shoved a piece of paper towel in the copper tubing above where I was working tokeep water from dripping. The whole operation went well until I forgot to remove the piece of paper towel when I reassembled everything. When I turned the water on, it must have shot up to my bedroom bathroom as I had no water to the sink faucet or toilet. The water to the sink came on a few hours later but the toilet water is still jammed. Do you think the paper will work itself out or do I need to go in the line with some type of rooter or any other suggestions?
Why does my cat not always drink the water in her water dish? I leave two bowls on water on the kitchen floor, and I change them daily. However my two-year old female cat MUCH prefers to drink from the bathroom faucet. I know this is common, but why?
Where can I find a Venetian Bronze replacement handle for a Delta shower faucet.? I'm changing out the hardware in a bathroom (from chrome to Venetain Bronze. I'm not planning on replacing the shower valve or the tile. i just want to replace the handles and the shower head. It's a 10 or 15 year old two-handle Delta unit. Where might I find trim in aVenetian (or Oil-Rubbed) Bronze?
How do I keep my cat from chewing off the bathroom faucets? I love her dearly, but as of late she has taken on a whole different persona. She is well fed and of handsome coat. But for the last few months she has been able to not only destroy the faucets in the bathroom , but the door knobs leading to the bedroom, most of the left side of the porch, and trailer hitch on my Ford. And while I don't really care so much, she has, in effect, made my property a virtual dead zone. No squirrels, birds, or even a stray dog. Should I change the food I give her (Whiskers)?
If I spay my cat will she calm down a bit? I have a cat that I love dearly, but she has some rather aggressive tendencies. Her name was Anne when I got her but that has since been changed to Psycho B****. I can over look the scars on my chest and the blood stains in the sheets but I am tired of replacing the carpet and the kitchen cabinet doors that she continues to shred. Not to mention the bathroom faucet that she has chewed all the chrome off of.
How to remove faucet flow constrictor? Hi all. Before I rented my apartment, I checked each faucet to make sure the water pressure was adequate. But after I paid my first month's rent, the landlord sent someone to CHANGE all the faucets and install those cheap flow constrictors, which in the bathroom sink reduces the waterflow by 3/4 and makes it into tiny squirting streams. Which means it now takes me 4x as long to wash my hands, and I hate that. How do I remove his flow constrictor and put back whatever faucet tip was there? I assume I can buy a real faucet tip (that doesn't cut the water flow) from a hardware store, but how do I get off the thing that my landlord installed? I tried turning the attachment on the faucet head, but I can turn it around and around in circles and it doesn't come loose. How do I get it off? Seriously, my bathroom sink now gives as little water as an airplane sink does. If it's a "pop in" restrictor and I pry it off, water won't come gushing out will it? As long as I turn the faucet off? I think it's the "vandal proof" variety! How do I get it off? http://www.neoperl.com/products/aerators/expertcorner.asp I figured it out! I do have one of those "vandal proof" aerators linked above. So I had to use a pair of scissors as my makeshift "key" (because it has two prongs) to unscrew the evil aerator.* I stuck the scissor tips into the two key notches in the aerator and rotated. Then I installed my own, normal-flow aerator. * NOTE: If anyone tries to use this solution, remember that scissors are really sharp, and that you have to use a strong, rotating force to get the aerator off. So, use blunt scissors if you have them, and in any case remember to keep the scissors AWAY from your eyes, and your fingers AWAY from the blades!!! i.e., don't lean in close to see if you're doing it right, because you could lose your grip and jab your eyes out! Keep your head away and do it by trial and error instead.
Colorful bathroom ideas - Help please.? I want to redo my front bathroom. It's basically a guest bath/child's bath. Right now, the walls are a very light sage with eggshell trim, cream shower curtain, rug and accessories. I want to change it. I'm not afraid of color (my master bath has navy blue walls, silver accessories and a very tiny touch of yellow). I would like something that will work both as a child's bathroom and the main bath, so no kid's characters. Oh, it is a smallish bathroom as well. White appliances and chrome faucets. I'm having trouble coming up with a color for the walls, plus accessories that with coordinate. Any advice? Thanks.
Mixing bathroom fixtures -- need help!? In my new bathroom I'm installing a Whirlpool steam shower. The fixtures in it are chrome and come standard and I am completely unable to change them. The bathroom is being tiled in slate, and the vanity is a dark wood color. The countertops are granite with red tint in them, and with the red that flows throughout the granite, it matches very well with the dark wood and the red hues that come throughout the slate in the tile. Now, I hate the fact that I feel like I'm married to chrome fixtures. I want to put an amber colored vessel sink in. Oil rubbed bronze faucets (as they have orange on the edges) look beautiful with this combination, and if I did this, I would probably get the towel racks and such in oil rubbed bronze with it as well. Will this look alright, having the shower's fixtures be all in chrome and then using oil rubbed bronze for the rest??? If you think this will clash, will brushed nickel look alright too? Or should I just stick to chrome? Thanks!
is either moen or kohler compatible with delta or both of them are? i have delta tub and shower faucets in both of my bathrooms.i would like to change them to a different named brand.
Why am I getting hot water out of the cold taps and in the toilet? We are getting hot water coming out the cold taps in the faucets (bathtub, shower, bathroom sink, etc) and getting hot water in the toilet. We have to fun the cold water for about 2 minutes before we get cold water. We living in a one story house built in 1975 in the San Diego Area. We can feel heat coming from under the carpet and under the bathroom tiles. This has only been going on for about a week. We haven't made anything changes.
DIY changing taps (faucets) and tap handles? Is it possible to do it yourself? My Dad is a plumber, but he lives 5 hours away so he isn't much help! I want to change the taps and tap handles in my kitchen and in my bathroom to nicer more modern ones. Is it possible to this myself with my boyfriends help, or would it be wise for us to get a plumber to do it. I am happy to attempt it, as long as it is not a hugely high level of difficulty. Our place is only about 10 years old if that makes any difference to the type of plumbing and taps we have.
How can I remove a pedestal sink that has been thin set to tile? I just bought a house and wanted to redo the style of one of my bathrooms. I thought this would be quite easy because it simply involved changing out a pedestal sink and faucet ... I was able to remove the basin part of the pedestal with ease but the base of the sink appears to have been thin set or grouted down to the tile. Can anyone give me some tips as to how I can remove the sink without cracking the tile underneath? Will I have to retile the part of the floor that the sink was set to before installing a new pedestal? Thanks!
question about Delta T13 series bath tub faucet? just did a reconstruction in bathroom, use a Delta T13 series bath tub faucet trim. It's like this: http://www.deltafaucet.com/wps/portal/deltacom/kcxml/04_Sj9SPykssy0xPLMnMz0vM0Y_QjzKLN7SMN_YOBskB2ebxYY76kaiCAfFmTkhivh75uan6Qfre-gH6BbmhEeWOjooAhcuc0w!!/delta/base64xml/L0lDU0lKQ1RPN29na21DU1NTUSEhL29Cb1FBQUlRZ2pGSUFBUWhDRUlRakdFSnpoQkMvNEpGaUNvMGVoMWljb25RVkdoZC1zSWIxVGRoQS83XzE5X0E4Ni8xMDY2L3NhLnNwZl9BY3Rpb25MaXN0ZW5lcg!!?PC_7_19_A86_area=Bath&PC_7_19_A86_collection=Classic&PC_7_19_A86_pid=T13420-SHC&PC_7_19_A86_spf_strutsAction=!2fviewProductDetail.do&PC_7_19_A86_task=DfcProductDetail&PC_7_19_A86_function=TubShower&PC_7_19_A86_group=TubShower#7_19_A86 I am new at this, so I want to know that besides turning the handle to change the water temperature, is there any way to change the water pressure also? Now, seems I cannot change the water pressure, so we wasted water, especially hot water. You know, even you just a bit of hot water, the cold water will have to go maximum.
Low water pressure? Recently we moved into a new house. We checked all the faucets in the bathrooms and they work wonderfully-my kitchen sink does not. The cold water in the kitchen sink runs fine but the hot water does not(it is a trickle). We have changed the faucet and can't figure out what the problem could be, since it is the only problem with the water. Any ideas?
Replaced plumbing under bathroom sink and have a question regarding the u-shaped pipe.? My son replaced my vanity yesterday and had to replace all the pipes as the pipes were deteriorated. We took the old pipes to the hardware store and they duplicated the set up. However, when he added the faucet, the design was 1-1/2" approx. to short to reach the drain pipe in the wall. It appears the new faucet mechanisms were not as long as the orig. faucet. He was able to change the set up by eliminating the U-shaped piece of the pipe. I was told by someone today that there "must" be that piece as part of the assembly. This was his first attempt with plumbing and I wanted to make certain what he did was not going to cause problems down the road. He basically has the faucet piece connected to a double slip coupling connecting that to a long piece of pipe leading to another double slip coupling with a pipe leading into the drain line. By adding the coupling on the faucet setup and removing the U-shaped pipe it fit. I am noticing I can hear the drain when the toilet flushes!
Whats wrong with me? I understand everyones body reacts differently to different drugs. But I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone has ever experienced this themselves. About the beginning of 2004, I started depovera, the birth control shot. After a couple of years of taking depo and gaining 60+ lbs., I went off of it, 11 months ago to loose some weight. So lets see about March of 2006 the doctor told me that it would take probably about 3 to 6 months to be "regular" again. So 4 months passed 6, 8 ,10 then finally sunday I get cramps. So since I hadnt had a period in almost 3 years I was shocked how painful it was. I just wasn't used to it at all anymore. Anyways I was a heavy bleeder to begin with but I have never EVER experienced anything like this. Waking up with it literally running down my legs as Im running to the bathroom. Changing my tampon AND pad every hour on the hour. And we arent talking about just a little bit of blood either the tampon and pad are both soaked when I change them. I am talking like a faucet between my legs. Now that I have grossed everyone out LOL sorry. Im just concerned with how long it would last and at what time would I need to go to the doctor if I keep bleeding like this with no signs of letting up its now tuesday Im going on the third day of straight down-pour. I'm so grossed out myself. I have also gained 60 lbs. since! Sorry to the guy who stumbled on here! Should I be in pain from the blood loss? Aside from what I consider normal cramping not really in any pain maybe a slight headache coming on.
Is it safe for cats to drink gasoline? I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I am worried about my cat. Now, you have to understand that my cat, Psycho B****, is quite adept at removing and destroying anything with a chrome finish. I don't know why. But my bathroom faucets have had to be replaced twice and the door to the washer was chewed off. I won't even get into the memory of seeing her chew off the trailer hitch on my truck *shudder*. Anyway, this afternoon I came out and saw that she had chewed off the gas cap on my truck. I am assuming she chewed it off because, while she is tough, I don't think she is smart enough to un-screw it. I digress. So I come out and all I see is her butt sticking out of the filler pipe. I, of course, yanked her out. But she was licking gas off her face and seemed to be quite delighted with the taste. Should I worry about her? Or should I change to a higher octane gas? Why is everybody mad at me? I saved her!!!! Mechanic...I think you judge a bit harshly. You don't know her.
wifes revenge? There was a married couple. Eyery day the husband went golfing from 10 to 4. Once the wife asked the husband "Could you please repair the dripping faucet in the bathroom when you come home?" The husband replied "What,so now you think I'm a plumber?" Then the wife also told him "The bulb in the kitchen is also broken". The husband responded, "So now you think I'm an electrician?" When the husband came back home from golfing, the bulb was changed and even the faucet in the bathroom was repaired. Wondering what had happened, the husaband asked his wife "How did all these jobs get done?" She answered, "Today there was a man I met on the street who said he repaired anything for a roll in the hay or some cookies." The husband said, "I do really hope you gave him some cookies!!" She replied, "What, so now you think I'm a baker?"

i just cu my finger open? ive seen this happen to my grandpa and he never went to the ER. this is how it happened.i was cutting a mango and i got careless and ended cutting the right side of my index finger closest to the nail with a knife and its a little deep. there is pain but not enough for me to yell or cry and go crazy. at first i went to my bathroom and put it under the faucet of cold water for like a min or 2. then i took a cotton ball put it over the cut and wrapped it tight with tape. i jus checked on it a few min ago and the bleeding stopped so i changed the cotton ball ans taped it again. is this serious or not since it stoppped bleeding? yeah i tried spreading it and i did not see muscle or fat at all so thats good? and like i said there is a little bit of pain but its not enough for me to cry, yell, or go berserk over it. so im guessin i dont need stitches since it stopped bleeding?
hot water problems with electric water heater? I turn on my hot water faucets, the water runs for maybe 60 seconds then stops. No water at all comes out of faucet. No time for it to even warm up, let alone turn hot. Does not run "squirty" like there is air in the pipes. It happens in the kitchen, bathroom sink and bathtub. I checked the water heater, does not look like it has leaked. The "squiggly" pipes coming into the tank at the top are warm to the touch. We flipped the breaker and it did not change anything. The cold water is fine...worked thru five loads of laundry this morning. Water heater is about five years old. any suggestions appreciated.
Shower Replacement? I'm remodeling my bathrooms and want to replace the shower/tub faucet & control. I currently have Delta with pressure balance. If I wanted to change that to a Moen, do I have to change the pressure valve as well or can I use the existing one?
Plumbing, Pipes......black specks? I don't know if it's the pipes, something with plumbing or the water supply, though I doubt it's water supply. Anyway, in the main bathroom, when we turn the water on HOT, and mostly full blast hot water, tons of little black specks come out. We've changed the faucet, but that didn't work We've lived in this house for 10 years and it's the same thing every single time. Anyone have a clue as to what the problem is and how to fix it? I don't know about the water heater as the problem only presents itself in the bathroom sink. The shower, kitchen sink, downstairs bathroom are all fine. Wow Paul. Super answer! I can't wait until the kids are sleeping so that I can give this one a try! Thanks
Why does the water from my faucets carry a rather strong odor??? I live in a condo complex with about 200+ units. They were built in 1997, so fairly new. I've recently changed out my water-heater so I know it's not that. But I've had this odor existing for about a year now and it started in my bathroom. Now I'm smelling it from the kitchen faucet as well. My mother said something about the dishwasher needing to be ran as it may be the cause. So I started using it more frequently but still have this odor. What should I do? (I live in Las Vegas by the way)
How do you make a whirlpool tub into a shower/tub without making an extra hole? I am buying a house that has only a whirlpool tub in the master bathroom. I was hoping to change out the faucet and have it include a personal or hand shower so I don't have to always shower in the spare bathroom. Main thing is that I do not want to have to make any extra holes for the hand shower if possible. Would a roman tub faucet and hand shower suffice? Let me clarify a little more, I don't intend to mount the shower head, just have it on a rest on the side of the faucet.
How to get rid of our psycho roommate?? We got this new roommate about a month ago, and after the first week and a half it started going downhill. She drank all the beer in the fridge that me and the other roommate bought in a week and hasnt bought anymore. I just found out she also drank a bottle of saki we had up in the closet. She took a bite out of the other roommates sandwich and put it back in the fridge, and she also ate the nuts off of his ice cream cone and put it back in the freezer (that one was just weird). We dont smoke inside but we found out when she comes home every night she goes in the bathroom, turns the faucet on and has a few smokes. If youre doing something she always tries to start talking to u about something dumb. Like how long roaches live for. To top it off she already lost her key. She claims some bar back at a local bar has it and she cant find him so now we have to change the front door lock, and she calls up at random times to open the door now. "She'll have to wait" I dont think she does drugs. Maybe an alchoholic though judging from all the alchohol in the apartment being gone.
Low Water Pressure Inside Home. Outside Water Pressure is Fine. Solution? Our home was built in 1985 and we have had no problems with water pressure until just recently when we noticed a gradual tappering of water pressure in both of our upstairs bathrooms. The only change that we have made to the plumbing system was a new low-flow toilet and vanity, which required us to shut off all of the water leading to the home. The local water department check the water pressure leading up to the home and the outside faucets are operating at normal pressure. The water meter is also not running at all so we have ruled out any leaks. However, the flow of water pressure continues to worsen with time, such that one of our vanities upstairs not operates at a trickle and we now have noticed the downstairs sinks doing the same. My question is this: Might this be attributed to a Pressure Release Valve (PRV) or might there be another cause? We have PVC piping leading to the home and copper inside, so I don't know if buildup is a problem. Thank you. As an addendum, we had our system inspected by the local water district and they confirmed that we have no leaks in our lines because there is no water flow from the meter when nothing is in use. Its possible that we may have plogged lines, but that doesn't see likely because we removed the screen to the utility sink downstairs and it does not flow well either. When the water district showed up they thought that it might be the Pressure Release Valve, but what confuses me about that scenario is that our water pressure is just fine OUTSIDE the home, but low inside the home. Wouldn't the PRV affect both the outside and inside water pressure?
Is this funny-i nkow it cracked me up!!!??? Star if you like it! Wondering what had happened, the husaband asked his wife "How did all these jobs get done?" She answered, "Today there was a man I met on the street who said he repaired anything for a roll in the hay or some cookies." The husband said, "I do really hope you gave him some cookies!!" And the wife said, What you think im a baker?
