(It'll need to be ducted to the outside, so a hole'll have to be punched through the outside wall, is why I ask about the tradesman)
Is a lighthouse theme for a bathroom in style? Hi, I just bought a lighthouse rug, lotion holder, toothbrush holder, bathroom cup, shower curtain, and shower hooks, and I was just wondering if that theme for a bathroom is in style? I got the collection at Wal-Mart (and it wasn't that cheap) and I got a red trashcan and a blue potpourri holder that wasn't lighthouse themed, to try and pick up the other colors. remodeling a bathroom, garage style, ideas please? Im redoing my sons bathroom, very small area, just where sink and commode are is about 4x6 feet. other side is shower stall. I am considering doing it in garage style and anything goes. am looking at parts washer for sink, tool box for vanity cabinet, diamond plate wallpaper, lots of chrome, stainless, galvanized, stuff. The flooring has me stymied. Looking for something like a hard surface you would find in a shop or garage, but i have particle wood floor base. He wants a concrete look. What is the name of the tile (ceramic bathroom style) that joins the wall to the floor tiles? I've seen them in commercial buildings, the tile is the same as the fllor tile and acts as a little skirting board tile which then meets the first/bottom wall tile.

How do I fix a bathroom sink pop-up stopper? I removed the pop-up stopper mechanism from my pedestal-style bathroom sink to clean the stopper and get out a huge clog. I tried to put it back together, but it seems like no matter how I do it, water comes out from the hole where the horizontal rod goes in. Am I doing it wrong? Do I need something in between the plastic ball and the nut (a washer, ring, etc.)? Is it possible I need a new stopper mechanism? Any help is appreciated!

If you have an oil painting in your very tiny bathroom (don't ask), will steam from the shower ruin it? Someone I know is redoing their bathroom tuscan style (gag) and she put a big freakin oil painting right on the wall (will wooden framing and everything) and I'm wondering if the steam or moisture from showers and what not will somehow ruin it?? I have a old bathroom, in which it is impossible to install an exhaust fan.Is there an Alt. besides window fan? I have a 1920s style bathroom that I am currently remodeling. I recently found out that is was going to be extremely expensive to put in an exhaust fan and because that house is so old and it might later cause some leaking problems. Is there an alternative besides the hideous window fan. is there a special type of dehumidifier or something that I can get to solve this problem?

how do you feel about unisex barrack style bathrooms for 2 and 3 year olds in daycare? in the day care i work at we have a bathroom with 2 toliets and all of the children use that bathroom in pairs regardless of the sex of the child they go when they need to in the order the stood in line mpst of the children are potty training so they need to get in as soon as possible but there is always a teacher in there with them to help and moniter the tolieting...
Bathroom Flooring for folk-victorian style home...? I am wondering about opinions and expert knowledge of what kind of flooring might be appropriate to lay in a half bathroom I am renovating in my 1892 Folk/Victorian style home? I want it to go with the style of home, so obviously no laminate or vinyl. Just looking for ideas. btw, the flooring outside of the bathroom, ie: living room/dining room, will be dark hardwood. Any ideas on what to do with a wine rack in the bathroom? I recently purchased a beautiful smaller wine rack. I couldn't pass it up but it does not match my kitchen nor do I need the extra wine storage. So I thought I would use it in my bathroom (the colors and style match perfectly). I tried bath towels in the slots but they were to short and thin. I tried hand towels but they were to long and floppy. What design ideas could you provide? Or other folding techniques other than a "message in a bottle" type of roll up for the towels? Thanks!
RES turtle escaped bathroom ninja style, how can I find him? I have looked all over for this turtle (which is an adult fair sized tutrle) and cannot find him! Last time he escaped (via a large chewed away spot in my door from a dog) he was in my room, now my room door wasn't open so I have no idea where he could be. I was going to release him today but now I can't find him. Are there any ways to lure a RES turtle out of hiding? And yes my turtle is WILD and I know it needs to be returned, I saved it from being hit by a car and was just waiting to find a place not near a road in which to release him.
Can Toilet designed for Western style be changed to indian Style?? My appartment is under construction and I had taken 2nd Floor. In common bathroom we want to have Indian style toilet and in attached Bathroom we want western style.The buider had done it reverse. Now my builder is saying since Pipe was already laid for western and indian style, he cannot change it now?. Bathroom make-over. The tub, sink & toilet are a faded pink color (50s style). The walls are white,? the upper half is painted, the bottom is tiled. The floor is ceramic tiles in a blueberry-charcoal color. The room is small and light is good through a medium window. What colors would work with the faded pink color of the tub, etc? How do you remove and replace ugly 1950s pink wall and floor tile in the bathroom? I have a ranch style home that was built in 1958. The bathroom is all original pink 4" x 4" wall tile, and ugly pink floor tile. We have read that we could just get a hammer and begin smashing until all the wall tiles are removed, and also do the same for the floors after the toilet has been removed. O.k., given that there will be a whole load of mess to clean up....what do we do next? The wall tiles emcompass the full permiter of the room and go up the wall roughly 4 1/2 feet. The upper portion of the wall is old drywall. If we remove all the tiles, will we able to use the base underneath the tiles to set new tiles. Or, if that is not an option, do we need to purchase new backerboard or greenboard and put it in place first. The same rings true for the flooring. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If there is a less expensive do-it-yourself route to refinish the tiles, those suggestions would also be helpful and appreciated.

Has anyone seen a bathroom sink faucet design that has a hose sprayer? I saw this awesome bathroom sink faucet on HGTV's "I Want That!" show. It was a centerset style that would be for a 4" spread... it had a high round neck that looked like a normal faucet but you could pull on the area where the water comes out and there was a hose built into the neck so you could use it like a sprayer! I believe this is meant for a bathroom and not like a laundry tub sink because you can't even tell there's a hose there unless someone told you. Anyway, I'm trying to find out what brands sell something like this. I've looked at Moen and Delta and haven't found it so far. Does anyone know a brand that sells something like this?
freestanding bath versus ordinary bath in a very small bathroom? Hi , our bathroom is 5' 6" square and I would like to know which would look best . How to figure out the architecture style of my house? I live in a four bedroom, two bathroom two story house. There's a dining room, living room, kitchen, master suite, and bedroom downstairs, and two bedrooms, bathroom, and a family room upstairs. There is a walk-in attic off of one of the bedrooms. The upstairs is like..a loft I guess. When you walk in the front door you can see the family room upstairs. And when you're upstairs and you lean over the ledge to look downstairs. I've heard the words 'extended cape' once before, but I can't find any information regarding that style. I'm really curious. I know the house isn't 'custom', because several houses in my area, Long Island, New York, have the same layout.

Tiling my bathroom? Where do i start? I am re-tiling my bathroom for the first time. I have picked off all the old tiles(lovely pink flowery ones!!) and quite a lot of the plaster behind cam off as well. There is also the old Old tiles up halfway border style that are on some kind of cement base that sticks out by 10-12mm. These tiles are not easily removed so i am plasterboarding the top half of the wall to eliminate the gap and cover bad plaster. Once that is done, Is there a particular spot you should start? Does it depend where is first in your eyeline as you walk in, or is there a spot thats best to avoid cutting too many tiles? Any advice will be much apreciated!! Thanks to all for advice.
